Property catastrophe is focused on natural perils including hurricane, windstorm, earthquake, tornado/hail, winter storm and wildfire. Our team targets Excess of Loss, Proportional and limited Retrocessional business. We continue to rely on the relationships our team has built over the past 25+ years in the industry, as well as the larger broker market in London and Bermuda to source business.

Marine & offshore energy offers coverage for natural and man-made catastrophes in the shipping and offshore industry. We focus on retrocessional marine contracts and pride ourselves on our ability to customize our programs to meet the diverse needs of our clients.
Specialty Insurance

Specialty insurance includes a broad range of short-tail risks including aviation, aerospace, event cancellation and contingency coverage. Our specialty insurance business is sourced primarily through the Lloyd’s of London market.
US Insurance

U.S. insurance is focused on the non-standard auto, commercial auto, mobile homeowners and homeowners markets. Our U.S. insurance business is primarily sourced through PNC and related entities, including Arrow Underwriting Agency, AnyConnected and Evolution Risk. Arrow works to identify and source sustainable U.S. commercial auto business for PNC, with these policies benefiting from the additional support of Prospero Re. AnyConnected is an insurtech start-up focused on building commercial auto programs for small businesses using telematics. Evolution Risk is a managing general agency which acts as a program manager for the commercial and personal auto markets. PNC currently holds excess & surplus, as well as admitted market licenses in a growing number of states across the country.

Mr. Kramer established Resolute Global, formerly ILS Capital Management, in 2011. He is Chairman of the Management Committee, Chairman of the Investment Strategy Committee and Chairman of the Board of the 1609 Fund Ltd. Prior to founding Resolute Global, Mr. Kramer held numerous senior executive positions in insurance, banking and investments, as Chief Executive Officer, President, Chairman and General Partner. In 2005, he founded Ariel Holdings Ltd. and its subsidiary, Ariel Reinsurance Company, a property catastrophe reinsurance company in Bermuda. He was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ariel Holdings until 2010. Prior to founding Ariel Holdings, Mr. Kramer founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of Tempest Re, a property catastrophe reinsurance company organized in Bermuda. Upon the sale of Tempest Re to ACE Ltd. in 1996, Mr. Kramer served as Vice Chairman of ACE Ltd. and as Non-Executive Chairman of Assured Guaranty Ltd. until 2005. In 1986, seven years prior to the creation of Tempest Re, he acquired NAC Re, a shell company which he recapitalized and helped build into a major U.S. reinsurance company. The purchase of NAC Re was funded with private equity financing and taken public, later to be acquired by XL Re. Mr. Kramer served as Chairman of NAC Re until 1993 when he ‘retired’ and subsequently founded Tempest Re with private equity sponsors.
Throughout his career Mr. Kramer has dedicated himself to numerous philanthropic organizations. His not for profit activities include membership on the U.S. Board of Chatham House, a global think tank based in the U.K. He is a member of the Board, and previous Chairman, of The American Ballet Theatre, the official national ballet company of the U.S. In addition, Mr. Kramer is the Chairman of the National Dance Foundation of Bermuda. In 2011, Mr. Kramer receive the Queen’s Medal and Badge of Honor of the British Empire for his work and philanthropy in Bermuda. Mr. Kramer is a long-standing trustee of Brooklyn College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts, honorary Doctorate degree and the President’s Medal.
Mr. Kramer holds an M.B.A. in Economics and Investments from New York University. He is a long-standing Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Mr. Kramer is a frequent speaker on insurance industry topics and has received numerous awards, including entrance into the Insurance Hall of Fame in June 2016 for his success in the Insurance and Reinsurance Industry.
Mr. Libassi is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Resolute Global Partners. He is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s global business and capital development including discussions with capital providers, investors and other key strategic relationships. In addition, Mr. Libassi serves as Chairman of Producer’s National Corporation, a U.S. based insurance company, and as a Director of AnyConnected and Stable Insurance, two U.S. insurtech companies, MLTPLY, an insurtech incubator, and Helios Underwriting (AIM:HUW), a Lloyd’s investment and underwriting vehicle. He is also a Director of The 1609 Fund Ltd. and Prospero Re Ltd.
Before co-founding Resolute Global in 2012, Mr. Libassi was a Managing Director at Strategic Value Partners, focusing on U.S. business development, strategic relationships, and the firm’s U.S. private equity/distressed for control investments. From 2000 to 2007, he was a Senior Managing Director at GSC Group where he founded the corporate lending group and served as a senior investment professional for the distressed for control group. From 1994 to 2000, Mr. Libassi was Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Mitchell Hutchins, a subsidiary of PaineWebber Inc. In that role, he was responsible for managing approximately $1.2 billion of high yield assets for Paine Webber Mutual Funds and in 1998, developed and launched the $550 million Managed High Yield Plus Fund, a leveraged closed-end fund. From 1986 to 1994, he was a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Keystone Custodian Funds, Inc., with portfolio management responsibilities for three diverse institutional high yield accounts with $250 million in collective assets.
Mr. Libassi earned an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Economics and Government from Connecticut College.
Mr. Nealon is a member of the Management Committee, an adviser to the Investment Strategy Committee, and a member of the Portfolio Management Group. He is focused on all aspects of the firm’s risk management processes including portfolio risk exposures, compliance and counterparty risks. Mr. Nealon is an investment actuary with over thirty-five years of experience in the investment and insurance marketplace. From 2006 to 2012, Mr. Nealon was the Chief Investment Officer and Chief Risk Officer for Ariel Holdings, Ltd. As Chief Investment Officer, Mr. Nealon was responsible for directing the investment process for Ariel Holdings’ $1.5 billion investment portfolio. As Chief Risk Officer, Mr. Nealon was responsible for managing Ariel Holdings’ enterprise risk management process, including developing the Risk Management Framework, managing the risk exposures and monitoring risk/return performance and compliance. From 1997 to 2006, Mr. Nealon held several senior management positions in the ACE Group of insurance companies, including Executive Vice President of Investments, Senior Underwriter and Financial Risk Manager. In addition, he was part of the Mergers and Acquisitions team responsible for developing the financial models required to evaluate transactions and merger consequences. From 1993 to 1997, Mr. Nealon was the Investment Actuary at Falcon Asset Management, a firm that specialized in developing asset allocation strategies and finding enterprise-wide risk management solutions for insurance and reinsurance companies. Mr. Nealon holds an M.S. degree in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Delaware and a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Queens College. Mr. Nealon is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, and has authored a number of articles for trade publications.
Ms. Ferris serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Resolute Global, as well as a member of the Investment Strategy Committee and an adviser to the Management Committee. Ms. Ferris is responsible for financial, compliance, and operation matters for the Firm. She is based in Resolute Global’s Connecticut office. Prior to joining Resolute Global, Ms. Ferris worked at Drake Capital Management where she was responsible for the accounting and operations of the Fund and its private investments. She began her career working in the Banking & Capital Markets Group at EY for four years serving clients in the audit space. Ms. Ferris graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting and minor in Business Law.
Mr. Belk is based in Resolute Global’s London office. In his capacity as Chief Actuary, Mr. Belk is a member of the Investment Strategy Committee and is responsible for evaluating the Fund’s portfolio holdings. Prior to joining Resolute Global, Mr. Belk served as Senior Actuary as part of the GRS analytics team at Aon Benfield, a leading global brokerage house. While at Aon, he led the analytics team on Marine Specialty Composite business, building relationships with company Actuaries, Underwriters and Reinsurance clients. From 2010 to 2014, Mr. Belk served as an Actuarial Analyst and then Head of Pricing at Lloyds’ syndicate, Sagicor. He started his career as an Actuarial Analyst at Guy Carpenter & Company Ltd, focused on casualty and marine classes, in addition to the property, motor and energy sectors. Mr. Belk graduated with honors from the University of York with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.
Mr. Clinton is a member of the Investment Strategy Committee and the Portfolio Management Group, responsible for property underwriting. Prior to joining Resolute Global, Mr. Clinton was the President and Chief Underwriting Officer at Towers Reinsurance Ltd. where he underwrote and managed a $360 million book of property quota share reinsurance business and excess of loss reinsurance business. From 2011 to 2013, Mr. Clinton was the Group Underwriting Manager for Omega Insurance Holdings Ltd., a Director of Omega Specialty Insurance Ltd., and Chairman of the Omega Group Underwriting Committee with oversight of all underwriting activity in London, Bermuda and the U.S. From 2010 to 2011, Mr. Clinton served as a Property Manager at Lexington (Bermuda) Ltd., underwriting a $40 million book of primary excess and surplus lines business. From 2003 to 2009, Mr. Clinton was Senior Vice President, North American Treaty Underwriter at International Property Cat Re Ltd. (IPCRe) where he was responsible for a $225 million (premium) book of North American property reinsurance. From 1994 to 2003, Mr. Clinton was Vice President, Property Treaty Underwriter at LaSalle Re Ltd. on a $200 million book of North American treaty reinsurance business. When LaSalle was acquired by Endurance Specialty Insurance Ltd. in 2002, Mr. Clinton moved to Endurance as a Senior Property Treaty Underwriter until approached by IPCRe a year later. From 1990 to 1994, Mr. Clinton was the Assistant Vice President, Deputy Property and Marine Treaty Underwriter at Stockholm Re (Bermuda) Ltd. From 1989 to 1990, he was Assistant Vice President, Deputy Casualty Underwriter at ANECO Reinsurance Ltd. From 1988 to 1989, he was a Senior Broking Assistant, Excess Liability Insurance and D&O Insurance at Johnson and Higgins Intermediaries Ltd. Mr. Clinton began his career as a Commercial Lines Underwriter at BF&M Insurance Co Ltd. Mr. Clinton holds a Master of Arts in Business Management from Webster University and a B.A. in History from Mount Allison University. He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Mr. Haggerty is based in Resolute Global’s London office. He is a member of the Investment Strategy Committee and the Portfolio Management Group, focused on specialty reinsurance risks including marine, energy and aviation. Mr. Haggerty has over twenty years of concentrated experience at Lloyd’s of London where he focused on the marine and offshore energy sector, developing strong customer and broker relationships. The marine risks Mr. Haggerty traditionally underwrote focused on the London market and worldwide exposures. Prior to joining Resolute Global, Mr. Haggerty served as Underwriter in the Marine Division at QBE Re Europe.
Mr. Foy is a member of the Portfolio Management Team and Business & Capital Development group. Prior to joining Resolute Global, Mr. Foy worked as a consultant for Butterfield Asset Management, valuing portfolio assets as part of the due diligence process of The Carlyle Group and CIBC’s $500 million investment in the Bank of NB Butterfield. From 2006 to 2009, Mr. Foy worked at Channel Reinsurance, a joint venture of Renaissance Re, Partner Re, MBIA and Koch Financial, where his responsibilities included both S&P and Moody’s Capital Adequacy Models. From 2003 to 2006, Mr. Foy was responsible for XL Re’s portfolio management and swap hedging with the Capital Markets group. In addition, Mr. Foy worked to structure and organize the reinsurance programs included in XL Re’s initial quota share Sidecar Cyrus Re. From 2000 to 2002, he worked in the Structured Finance group at Centre Solutions (part the Zurich Group). From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Foy worked at Ernst & Young LLP as a Management Consultant.
Mr. Foy holds a Masters of Economics from Columbia University.
Mrs. Smith is a member of the Portfolio Management Team and Investment Strategy Committee. She is responsible for the management and modification of ReSolution with an emphasis on portfolio optimization and construction. In addition, Mrs. Smith handles all administration requirements related to Trust Assets.
Mrs. Smith has over twelve years of experience in the Bermuda reinsurance industry, starting at Axis Specialty Limited in 2004 as a Technical Assistant, providing support to the Underwriters. In 2005, Mrs. Smith transitioned to the Catastrophe Modeling team as a Modeling Analyst. Her responsibilities included Catastrophe Modeling utilizing AIR, RMS and EQE for multiple lines of business, exposure management and data analysis. In 2007, Mrs. Smith joined Flagstone Reinsurance as Senior Catastrophe Analyst, responsible for the operation of the modeling environment operating AIR and RMS models and she managed the catastrophe modeling team consisting of twenty analysts located in India, Halifax and Puerto Rico. Mrs. Smith was promoted in 2008 to North American Underwriter where she specialized in underwriting regionally diverse single- and multi-year property accounts.
Mrs. Smith graduated from St. John’s University in 2003 with a B.S. in Risk Management and Insurance. Mrs. Smith obtained the Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) in 2005 and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation in 2010.
